Paws for the Cause- Helping Lake Traverse area animals since September, 2007...
You can help the animals on the Lake Traverse Reservation in many ways!
*Transporting: Would you like to help drive an animal to its new rescue? We are always looking for help transporting animals to approved rescues, so if you live between Sisseton, SD and the Twin Cities in MN, or north or south of Sisseton, SD we would really appreciate your help with transporting.
*Fundraising: I would love it anyone would be interested in helping with fundraising for us!
*Coordinating Transports: This can be done completely online from anywhere, and it would be a huge help if anyone would be interested in transport coordination!
*Donating: Of course, monetary donations and donations of products are extremely helpful. We are not 501(c)3 yet but are in the process of getting this so monetary donations are not tax-deductible at this time, but are very much appreciated! You can donate to our PayPal account by clicking on the "Donate" button above, and please make a note if you would like the donation used for a specific purpose. Thank you so much!
*Sponsoring:
-The costs are $45 for a checkup, immunizations, and dewormer for a rescued dog or cat; let me know if you'd like to sponsor a pet's initial vetting!
-Spaying a Lake Traverse mother cat costs $80 and spaying a Lake Traverse mother dog costs $120; let me know if you'd like to sponsor a spay! When we get puppies or kittens surrendered by their owners, we like to be able to get the mother spayed. Otherwise we will just be back in a few months for more babies! Spaying is THE MOST important part of our rescue and we need your help to do it!!!!!!
-Money is needed for emergency veterinary for companion animals who come to us with illnesses or injuries; let me know if you'd like to donate to emergency veterinary care!

*Any type/size of crate/carrier
*Collars, leashes, harnesses, Gentle Leaders or Halti Head Collars
*Belly Bands of any size for male dogs

*Dog or cat food, treats or toys
*Dog shampoo or conditioner or any other grooming products or tools
*Pet beds
*Sequined or satin dog or cat jackets... Okay, just kidding, but pretty much any other dog or cat products are very, very helpful!
